In 2000 Doreen and I were at a crossroads. Both of us were not working. My company had gone through bankruptcy, hers had been purchased and shut down. We had no dog and almost no obligations.
So what did we do?
We went to Europe for almost four months.
We started in Paris, then proceeded to Venice, Florence, The Amalfi Coast, Rome, Hannover, southwestern England, and ended in London.
Then we came home.
During this time we had a digital camera that Doreen took in lieu of payment for a consulting job. We took photos and posted stories on a Geocites website.
We were very early travel bloggers.
But Geocities is being shut down (you can see the site, while it is still up, here.)
So I have had to recreate the original site. I will use this blog to do that.
